💚💦 SLIME TIME SUCCESS! 💦💚 . . . 🎉Our amazing PTA Move-A-Thon raised a whopping HKD$80,000! And what better way to celebrate than sliming our brave principal and teacher!
🏆 Huge congratulations to Class 1A and 2B for taking the crown this year! Your energy and enthusiasm inspired us all to keep moving for both our physical and mental wellbeing.
✨Every dollar raised goes straight back to our school to help our children thrive. This year, we’ll be funding: 📚 Author visits 📖 Readers 💻 ICT & Mathletics 🌬️ Air filters 💧 Water purifiers
💚Together, we’re building a healthier, happier, and smarter future for our kids, one slime at a time!
✨ Our Year 6 students left behind something truly special! 💫 . . . 🗡️Using the ancient art of wood block carving and printing, each student designed and carved their own block.
🌿With vibrant dyes, their prints came together to form a collaborative mural — a lasting legacy for our school.
🪵Wood block printing is one of the oldest art forms, connecting Asia to Europe and eventually inspiring the printing press. Each block can be reused, reminding us of the importance of tradition, sustainability, and craftsmanship — values our young learners explored through this project.
📚 Here’s what our students learnt: 1. How legacy, community, and personal impact shape our stories. 2. To reflect on their experiences and express them through art. 3. The history and skills of wood block printing, with safety and craftsmanship at the core. 4. The power of collaboration — 60 unique carvings forming one cohesive mural. 5. Respect, teamwork, and creativity in every step of the process.
🌟Thank you once again to @acollective.space for bringing their creativity and wellness into our project!
As Reading is one of our key strategic priorities this year, Peak School partnered with @ekc.literacy to provide for our teachers a weeklong CPD based on the latest science of reading research. Among many topics covered, literacy strategist Austin Wellman skilfully led each of our year level team to take a deep dive into creating coherent text sets that supported our learners’ units of inquiry knowledge building and literacy skill development. Teachers are excited to incorporate these curated text sets into the upcoming UOIs through read alouds and shared reading opportunities.
Peak School was also delighted to share this week of rich literacy learning with several other ESF schools, many of whom are now eager to implement what they learned in their own school contexts. Thank you teachers for modeling such enthusiasm and curiosity as learners throughout the week!
✨ As part of our vibrant Book Week celebrations, Peak School hosted a Home Language Extravaganza! 🌍
📓Twenty-three incredible members of our community brought stories to life in their own languages, giving students a chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of our school’s rich linguistic tapestry.
🎉It was a joyful reminder that at Peak, diversity isn’t just welcomed, it’s celebrated every single day.
💫 Different languages, different cultures, one united community.
